Beardstown jumped to a quick 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning and would not look back as the Tigers secured their spot in the regional title game with a 6-0 win over Athens. Clint Cooper had eleven strikeouts to lead Beardstown as they will gear up to play PORTA Saturday at 11 am.
