Lincoln Land scored four runs in the first inning and held on late for a 10-8 win over Illinois Central College on Thursday afternoon in the opening round of the NJCAA Region 24 Tournament at the Corn Crib.
Jared Viele had four hits, Cole Greer, Talon File and Bryce Toricelli had two hits each and Adam Deal got the win on the mound.
The Loggers will play Parkland on Friday at 4 p.m. at the Corn Crib in Normal.
