Jeremiah Lebron got the offense going in the eighth with a RBI single and then finished it off in the bottom of the ninth with a three run walk off home run to lift Parkland to a 7-4 win over Spoon River on Thursday at the NJCAA Region 24 Baseball Tournament opener.
Brett Johnson gave Spoon River a 4-3 lead in the top of the ninth with a three run double but the Cobras came back to win it and advance in the winner’s bracket, where they will play Lincoln Land on Friday at 4 p.m. at the Corn Crib.
