Pleasant Plains won their third straight regional championship with a 2-0 win over Athens on the Cardinals’ home field on Friday evening.
Emma Grieser scored on a corner kick header 18 minutes into the second half and then Ali Fraase added another on a corner kick.
Plains will play Rock Island Alleman on Tuesday at the Bloomington Central Catholic sectional semifinal at 6:30 p.m.
