The first inning was all Edwardsville as the Tigers scored seven runs topped off by a Dalton Wallace grand slam. They would add two more runs in the top of the second and a single run in the fourth to take a lead 11-0 lead. SHG would respond with three runs in the bottom of the fourth but the deficit was too large as Edwardsville would walk away with an 11-3 win.
