U-High pitcher Nathan Hardman hit a two run home run and picked up the win on the mound as the Pioneers beat Glenwood 5-2 on Tuesday evening.
Jacob “Bubba” Mote drove in the game’s first run after Parker Mathieson led off the game with a triple. Hardman hit his home run in the third inning to give the Pioneers a 3-0 lead.
Glenwood will travel to Normal on Wednesday night for game two, set for a 6 p.m. first pitch at Bass Duffy field.
