Marley Smith and Ashlyn Sturdy did most of the scoring for their teams in the first half. Smith got a little bit more help in the second half and Auburn edged Tri-City 40-38 to move into the County semifinals where they will play Williamsville on Wednesday evening.
The Auburn freshman Smith had 17 points, while Tri-City’s Ashlyn Sturdy finished with a game high 21.
