Joel Niermann outscored the Crusaders by himself in the first half as Pleasant Plains built a big enough lead to hold off a strong third quarter from Lutheran for a 44-33 win for the Cardinals.
Pleasant Plains will play Williamsville on Friday night at 8 p.m. for the 2019 Sangamon County championship.
