Lutheran High came out hot shooting and held off a fourth quarter rally from Auburn to pick up their first Sangamon County tournament win with a 54-40 victory over Auburn.
Russell Crifasi, Hank Hayer and JT Wiegand all knocked down big shots and even freshman Jack Hayer had a couple big threes in the fourth quarter to power Lutheran High into the semifinals where they await the winner of Pleasant Plains and either New Berlin and Pawnee on Thursday evening.
