Slow Start Doesn’t Stop Riverton From Big Win Over North Mac

Spencer Yoggerst threw down a hammer in the first quarter for Riverton’s only points in the first eight minutes, but that didn’t stop them from getting a 32-27 win over North Mac on Friday night in Sangamo conference play.

Sam Mount scored 18 of the Panthers’ 27 points, including his 1,000 career point in the second quarter. North Mac played without Tanner Wilson, their sophomore point guard, who will miss a couple weeks with a hip injury. Travis Hogan had 14 points for the Hawks, who play Calvary on Tuesday night at the 2019 Sangamon County tournament.
