King Crushes Rochester’s Run For 8th State Title In 9 Years as Bishop McNamara Knocks Off Rockets

Tyshon King rushed for over 300 yards on a muddy mess of a field and scored four touchdowns to lead Bishop McNamara to a 52-42 victory over Rochester in the 4A state semifinals on Saturday afternoon.

The Rockets run of two straight state titles and seven out of eight in 4A comes to an end in Kankakee.

Rochester trailed 21-14 at the half and went down 28-14 before tying it at 28 with 3 minutes to go in the third. The Fighting Irish were able to win the turnover battle and use the big day from King on the ground to advance to the 4A state title game in Champaign next Friday evening.
