Dalton DiGiovanna would cap off a 17 play drive and punch in a td from one yard out on the first play of the second quarter to give the Warriors a 7-0 lead over Eldorado. Athens would add a safety right before halftime to take a 9-0 lead into the break. With 1:39 left in the third, Nic Laird would score his first td of the game from 15 yards out giving the warriors the 15-0 lead.
In the fourth quarter Laird would again find the end zone for Athens extending the lead to 21-0 over the Eagles. Eldorado would stay in the game with a td pass from Aiden Whitlock to Jayce Jenkins making the score 21-8. The Warriors would seal the deal with two more tds scored by DiGiovanna and Caleb Orme. Athens would go on to win its first round matchup by beating Eldorado 35-8.
