After just two hits on Tuesday, the Rochester bats would give their ace on the mound plenty of run support on Wednesday. The Rockets traveled North to Normal and came home with an 8-3 win over U-High to push themselves back into the top spot in the conference, after a win from the Pioneers pulled themselves even with Rochester on Tuesday.
Cam Edmonson got the win on the mound and the junior pitcher helped himself with a RBI single in the third inning. Jack Lohmar and Logan Sapp each had two RBI’s to help the Rockets avoid a third CS8 loss with just two games left on their schedule, the season series with SHG to close out the regular season next week. U-High was handed their third conference loss with a game against Lanphier and two against Eisenhower next week to close out their season.
