Sophomore Drew Hicks had only pitched for an inning all season long, but Coach Sean Martin was all out of options. Maroa-Forsyth’s center fielder came in to pitch and picked up the win after he got a ninth inning rally started with a two run triple.
Hicks had three hits and three RBI for Maroa as they beat Pleasant Plains 9-4 in nine innings. Kam Boline and Logan Shepard had RBI’s in the seventh inning as the Trojans rallied from a 4-1 deficit to force extras.
