History On The East Side! Southeast Beats Marion To Earn Their First Trip To State In School History

Kobe Medley scored a game high 19 points, but none were bigger than the four free throws the senior Southeast guard hit in the game’s final minute of Tuesday’s 3A Springfield Supersectional. The Spartans, who went 14-for-28 from the free throw line, had watched a nine point lead dwindle to just two with less than a minute to play and Anthony Fairlee strapped to the bench with four fouls. Medley drilled all four chances and in doing so, he locked up Southeast’s first ever bid to the state tournament in a 56-51 win.
