Lanphier opened up their O’Fallon Shootout game against Bolingbrook with one of their best starts of the season. Karl Wright threw down a put back dunk and sprinted down for a block in the opening seconds as the Lions took that momentum to jump out to a 13-6 advantage in the first quarter. From there Lanphier built on that momentum and fought off multiple Bolingbrook comeback attempts to finish off a 62-56 win over the Raiders.
Karl Wright was named game MVP with 14 points and eight rebounds. Bolingbrook’s Tyler Cochran and Joseph Yesufu had 21 each for the Raiders in the loss.
