Jaymo FTW! Lanphier Escapes Glenwood With A Win As Buzzer Beater From James Jones Caps Wild Final Minute

Last Saturday, Lanphier dropped their first Central State 8 game of the year when they lost to Southeast in the City Tournament championship game. On Friday, their first chance to rebound came in what is arguably the conference’s toughest venue in Chatham. It took a game winner from James Jones as time expired for the Lions to escape with a 57-55 win and to avoid their first losing streak of the season.

Cardell McGee led the way for Lanphier with 22 points, five rebounds, five assists and six steals. He turned the ball over in the final seconds of the game but stole the ball away and found Jones for the winner. Jones finished with 12 points.

Bradyn Kilby led all scorers with 25 points while hitting 6-of-7 three pointers. The Titans were 10-of-15 from three point range in the game. Lanphier was 5-of-8 from beyond the arc after shooting 0-for-21 in the City Tournament title game.
