There’s only one freshman who made the list for City Tournament’s ‘Next Man Up’ series and it’s a name you’ll hear plenty of over the next four years. Springfield’s Bennie Slater is averaging 6.4 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game and he’s only a 9th grader. His “early memories of City” were Xavier Bishop’s 50 point game and we talk about what it would take for him to break that record some day.
