Jacksonville’s Jaelyn Keene and Springfield High’s Courtney Pence put themselves in rare air during the high school volleyball careers. The two smashed school records and helped deliver deep post season runs for their respective schools before graduating and heading to Illinois State. It should be no surprise that they’re creating a similar legacy for themselves as Redbirds and on Tuesday we took a road trip to catch up with two of the best who’ve ever done it in the Springfield area.
