From Gymnast To All Stater- Deondre Gregory Staying Balanced With One Goal Left

Maroa-Forsyth’s leader on the field and in the locker room all season has been senior running back Deondre Gregory. A major reason for his success on the field has been his background in gymnastics as a kid, before he became “the Walter Payton of JFL” according to his current head coach Josh Jostes.

Gregory has racked up over 1,500 yards on the ground and has found the end zone  30 total times this season. He was recently named a 2A all state selection ahead of Maroa-Forsyth’s semifinal game against Shelbyville.
