New Berlin showed the big play capability from the start, but the North Mac running back wore down the Pretzels. North Mac jumped out to a 28-7 lead in the third quarter and held on late for a 28-21 win to move the Panthers to 2-0 on the season, while the Pretzels fall to 0-2.
Jake Mullink rushed for two touchdowns and threw for one, while Gage Gibson had a rushing touchdown, an interception and a fumble recovery.
Casey Bixby threw for three touchdown passes of at least 60 yards each.
