Springfield – Jacksonville is becoming quite the rivalry on the pitch. The Senators and Crimsons kicked off the CS8 slate on Tuesday at Lee Field, meeting for the first time since Jacksonville defeated Springfield in the UIS super sectional a season ago. It took two scoreless overtime sessions and penalty kicks to decide a winner. After a 1-1 regulation, Springfield won 4-1 in PKs.
