Pleasant Plains exploded for an eight-run fourth inning, en route to a 13-3 win over Auburn in five innings to win the 2A Auburn regional final on Monday. Sep Mattera, Bryant Williams and Joel Nierman all pitched for the Cardinals and are all available as Plains advances the the Baardstown sectional semifinal, where it will play Williamsville on Wednesday.
