Springfield’s season was almost out of breaths until Sophie Eves pumped life back into the senators with just :27 seconds remaining in regulation in Friday’s 2A Normal West Regional Final. The sophomore netted the equalizer forcing overtime in a 1-1 game, but Normal West dominated the extra play en route to a 3-1 final.
