Brandi Donnelly left Williamsville before the second semester her senior season to get to the University of Illinois in an attempt to be completely prepared for her first season on the volleyball team. Three years later, it’s safe to say that was a good decision. Donnelly, now a junior, has been a top tier Big Ten libero since she stepped on the court. We sat down with her to ask her the important questions, like “does it hurt to dig out Big Ten kills?” “Are you the best athlete of the four Donnelly kids?” And “if you sat on your own shoulders, would you be taller than the tallest girl on your team.”
