Corrington Jones officially committed to McHenry County College on Tuesday afternoon right outside of Lober Nika Gymnasium, where he was a key piece of a Lanphier team that advanced to the state tournament for the first time since 2012 this past season.
Jones served as one of the Lions’ most reliable and clutch 3-point shooters and defenders in 2016-17, especially during Lanphier’s entertaining postseason run, where Jones hit multiple big shots from beyond the arc. Jones was also one of the team’s most entertaining personalities. We spoke with him about his commitment, what it was like to be a Lanphier Lion and the celebration cake that was waiting for him after his signing.
