For the second consecutive day, Pleasant Plains had a southpaw strikeout 10 batters through five innings. TJ Painter struck out 10, equaling Sepp Mattera’s total from Friday as the Cardinals defeated Beardstown, 4-1. The win moves Plains to 9-0 on the season. Cole Greer, Corgan Greer, TJ Painter and Addison Ruot all notched RBI’s for the Birds.
