Sepp Mattera went five innings, striking out 10 in Pleasant Plains’ 5-3 victory over Nokomis. Mattera also added a RBI single in the fifth. The Cardinals are 8-0 on the year. Plains will play Beardstown and Harrisburg to wrap up the Plains Classic on Saturday at Reiser Field.
