We’re not sure if Austin Alderman was cold and wanted to go home, maybe he was hungry and wanted to go eat. Either way…he was ready to get the second game of the doubleheader over with as quickly as possible on Friday night.
Springfield’s four hole hitter delivered two home runs in the first two innings to acquire five RBI’s as the Senators jumped out to a 9-0 lead over Jacksonville after two innings. Springfield High won the second game 16-5 over Jacksonville to sweep the doubleheader and stay perfect in the CS8 at 4-0 to start the season.
