The Rochester Rockets are bringing home another regional title. The Rockets defeated SHG on Thursday night, 48-37 to claim the 3A Jacksonville regional title.
The Rockets advance to the MacArthur sectional, where they will play on Monday against Paris. Paris defeated Charleston, 57-35 on Thursday night in the 3A Paris regional final.
Two three-point plays late in the second quarter by Nicole Robinson and Lyric Boone really changed the tide of the game for Rochester, giving the Rockets a 24-18 lead heading into the break after SHG had kept it close throughout the first half.
Rochester kept its distance in the second half and led by as many as 15 points in the fourth quarter.
