Courtney Ramey’s pull up jumper from the free line just before the buzzer lifted Webster Groves to a 67-65 win over Belleville East in the Highland Shootout on Saturday.
Ramey, a junior standout and one of the top guards in the country, who holds offers from Illinois, Kansas, Ohio State, Texas and Florida, among others, scored 21 points, pulled down eight rebounds and dished out five assists.
Belleville East senior and Illinois commit, Javon Pickett scored 40 points and pulled down 10 rebounds. His 40 points tied the record for the most points scored in a Highland Shootout game. The event is in its 26th year.
