Jeremiah Tilmon’s block late in the fourth quarter helped seal East St. Louis’ 74-67 comeback win over Althoff in the Highland Classic on Saturday. The Illini commit finished with 13 points, 13 rebounds and eight rejections.
Although senior, Jordan Goodwin played excellent through a quarter and a half, but left the game in the second quarter and didn’t return after suffering an apparent left shoulder injury. Goodwin didn’t come back out of the locker room following halftime and was seen on the bench wearing street clothes in the fourth quarter.
Arthur Carter scored 21 points and Terrence Hargrove finished with nine, including a clutch 3-pointer that gave the Flyers a late lead in which they never surrendered.
