Ball handling and a leaky defense betrayed Springfield in the second half as Normal U-High turned a tie game late in third quarter into a 57-44 victory in the quarterfinals of the State Farm Classic in Normal. Amber Nanni keyed the U-High second half surge as she lead all scorers with 18. Montshianna Pulliam lead Springfield with 13. Normal U-High will be joining the Central State 8 next fall in all sports and will move on to the semis of the Classic where the Lady Pioneers will face two-time defending 3A Champs, the Morton Lady Potters.
