Lanphier watched an 18 point first half advantage dwindle to as few as one in the fourth quarter, but the Lions never lost the lead and Yaakema Rose provided the late game heroics in a 63-55 quarterfinal win at the Pekin Holiday Tournament. Rose finished with a game high 23 and Aundrae Williams added 13 for the Lions.
Lanphier will play Moline, who is coached by former Jacksonville head coach Sean Taylor, at 6:30pm in the semifinal.
