After losing a six point lead late in fourth quarter Lyric Boone calmly broke the opposing press to score and retake the lead then Boone’s defense on the final possession helped seal Rochester’s hard fought 50-48 win over North Lawndale in the quarterfinals of the State Farm Classic. Bowling Green commit Angela Perry led all scorers with 22 while fellow Boone added 14 in the win over the defending Classic champions. The Rockets move on to the large girls semifinals of the Classic where they’ll play top seeded Rock Island.
