There were dunks and there were blocks…the typical Athens performance. Tri-City tried to hang around but the Warriors were just too much in the Waverly Holiday Tournament quarterfinals on Tuesday morning. Athens beat Tri-City 55-33 to advance to the semifinals.
Hunter Maxwell had two slams, Drayton Davis had one, Devin Richardson had a handful of blocks and Nick Hanner chipped in 12 points for Athens who will play the winner of Carrollton and Routt on Wednesday for a spot in the finals.
