The Riverton Christmas Classic might have featured one of the best games of the tournament in a pool play opener on Monday. Unbeaten Auburn dropped a 51-50 decision to a Hillsboro team they lost to in a regional final last season. Auburn’s Katryel Clark scored 21 points and added 16 rebounds but her potential game winner at the buzzer was waved off. Hillsboro’s Sammi Matoush led all scorers with 24 points.
