Newcomer Maroa Leads Extremely Tight Area Brahler Cup Race After Fall Sports Season

Maroa Forsyth Student Athletes Talk About Leading Fall Brahler Cup Standings

Area newcomer Maroa-Forsyth leads a very tight race in the Brahler Cup standings after the fall sports season. The Trojans made a trip to the 2A state football championship and won a share of the Sangamo football title. Maroa’s volleyball team won the Sangamo conference championship outright. That’s good for 13.3 fall points and first place in the standings.

Williamsville and North Mac are tied for second place with 11.3 points a piece thanks to their football and boys soccer programs. The Bullets girls golf team also added a regional championship.

Athens’ Wyatt McIntire and the boys cross country team led Athens to fourth place in the standings and defending champ Pleasant Plains is in striking distance with 10 points.
