Rochester has done it again. With a 38-14 victory over Johnsburg in the 4A state title game at Memorial Stadium in Champaign, the Rockets claimed their sixth championship in seven years.
Avante’ and D’Ante Cox combined for 20 catches, 10 each and 322 yards to go along with four touchdowns. Nic Baker completed 23-of-31 passes for 335 yards and four scores.
The Rockets defense forced five Johnsburg turnovers and pitched a second half shutout.
