Lanphier Looks To Move On From Painful Losses To Southeast & Life Without Bishop

Lanphier fell to bitter-rival, Southeast three times last season. The last defeat, which went down to the final seconds ended the Lions season in the Taylorville sectional title game. The Lions enter the 2016-17 season looking to avenge those defeats but they’ll have to do so without the school’s all-time leading scorer in Xavier Bishop, who is now playing at UMKC.

With a very talented and experienced core returning in Yakeema Rose, Cardell McGee, Aundrae Williams, Corrington Jones and William Boles, the Lions have the skill to be on the CS8’s best teams once again. Even they admit, though, that their style might be different from a season ago.
