For years, North Mac and Carlinville have examined the playoff brackets in hopes that the two Macoupin County schools would one day meet in the playoffs. The Panthers and Cavies will finally get that chance on Saturday afternoon in Virden, with a spot in the 3A state championship game on the line. The crowd at Bruna Athletic Field is expected to be huge.
