After a little bit of a sluggish start the SHG offense kicked into full gear thanks to six rushing touchdowns, 3 by Tremayne Lee, as the Cyclones routed the Rock Island Rocks, 56-13 to move to the Final 4 in Class 6A.
The biggest play for SHG came late in 2nd quarter, leading 21-7 Rock Island trying to make a late push before halftime but Cyclones sophomore Joey Milbrendt intercepted the pass and went 10 yards for the score giving SHG 28-7 at the half.
Brian Adams added two touchdowns on runs of 59 and 64 yards in the 3rd quarter to turn the game into a rout.
SHG will host 9-3 Burbank St. Laurence next weekend with a trip to Champaign on the line to whoever wins.
