North Mac made the long road trip south and returned home with a 10-7 win over Anna-Jonesboro to set up a rematch with Tolono Unity in Round 3, but this time it will be at home.
The Panthers found themselves in a 7-0 hole and the Wildcats knocking on the door again but a goal line stand gave the defense momentum. Asa Donaldson scored a 33 yard touchdown in the third quarter and Logan York kicked a 26 yard field goal in the fourth and that was all the offense North Mac needed to advance to the 3A quarterfinals.
North Mac will host Tolono Unity on Saturday at 2 p.m. in the 3A quarterfinals.
