Sacred Heart-Griffin is on to the quarterfinals of the 6A playoffs following a dominant, all-around win against Galesburg on Saturday afternoon. After suffering a bruised heel last week, Cyclone junior running back, Tremayne Lee’s status was in question heading into the matchup. He would dress but he didn’t have to do much. Brian “BB” Adams stole the show for the second consecutive week. The 5-foot-9, 175-pound junior running back scored four first half touchdowns of 36 yards, 63 yards, 70 yards and 39 yards.
Tim Brenneisen threw for three first half touchdowns. Two went to Adams, the third went to Spencer Redd for 63 yards.
The Cyclones will face Rock Island in the third round.
