Rochester’s already potent offense got two huge additions to its lineup on Friday night. D’Ante’ Cox and Matt Wike made their returns from injury, cominging for three touchdowns in Rochester’s 63-21 win on the road at Mt. Zion.
Cox suffered a broken arm in week five against Jacksonville and Wike suffered an elbow injury in week seven against SHG. Cox scored two receiving touchdowns and hauled in two interceptions. Wike ran for a touchdown in the third quarter.
Collin Stallworth caught two touchdowns, Avante’ Cox caught a touchdown and Alec Ostermeier ran for two scores. Nic Baker threw for five touchdowns. Josh Grant threw for a score and added one on the ground.
Rochester advances to the 4A quarterfinals, where it will face the winner of Althoff – Taylorville.
