Williamsville played one of its most complete games of the season, defeating Athens 55-13 to grab a share of the Sangamo title. Following North Mac’s loss to Maroa-Forsyth, those two teams in addition to the Bullets all finished 8-1 on the year, causing the three-way tie.
Jace Franklin ran for three touchdowns and Justice Ferrier threw for two scores and ran for one more in the Bullets victory. Both Athens and Williamsville will await to see who it plays next week in the first round of the playoffs. The Bullets will filter into the 3A bracket, whereas Athens will head to 1A.
