After New Berlin lost their Week 1 matchup 70-7 to Maroa-Forsyth many people had written off the Pretzels for 2016. A month and a half later, New Berlin is one win away from playoff eligibility thanks to a gritty 10-9 home win over Pleasant Plains. New Berlin took the lead for thanks to a Danny McCloud 20 yard touchdown run in the third quarter which put the Pretzels up 10-3. New Berlin would force three turnovers via interceptions (two by Carson Reese) and also come through with a heady stop on Plains 2-pt conversion in the 4th quarter which would have given the Cardinals the lead. With the win, New Berlin goes to 4-3 and needs to win one of its last two games (Athens and Auburn) to become playoff eligible.
