It’s tough to win a Central State 8 title and it’s harder to defend one, but SHG did exactly that with a straight set win (25-23, 25-22) over Rochester on Tuesday at the RAC. Both the Cyclones and the Rockets entered with no blemishes on their CS8 record, and because both teams still have to play Decatur Eisenhower, SHG’s title won’t officially be outright for a few weeks.
