Nick Hanner’s interception in the final seconds sealed a thrilling, 29-28 Athens win over Auburn to keep the Warriors undefeated, at 4-0.
Athens senior running back, Hunter Maxwell rushed for a game high three touchdowns, including a 70-yard scamper in the fourth quarter for the Warriors. Drayton Davis added a 37-yard touchdown.
Auburn senior quarterback threw for one score and added a touchdown on the ground. Ryan McLaughlin rushed for an 18-yard score. The Trojans fall to 2-2 on the year.
