Auburn didn’t pick up a first down until their fourth drive of the game and and they led just 6-0 after one quarter, but the Trojans defense picked up the slack for a revamped offense in what turned into a 48-0 win over Pittsfield on Friday in the 2016 season opener for both teams.

The Trojans entered as the number one team in the AP polls in Class 2A a season after finishing as the 2A runner-up. Ben Johnson, who replaces Drew Chance at quarterback, threw for three touchdowns in the win. Colby Bossman caught two of those scores and Cayden Muench caught the other.
